About

We are pleased to have you on our site, chassess.com.  I hope you will find a pair or two of comfortable shoes that will make you feel upbeat.

About Me
I have a passion for ballroom dancing as you can read on this site. I practice every day wearing latin dancing sandals with 2.5″ heels. Dancing in heels puts a lot of stress on my feet, so when I’m not dancing, I make every effort to wear comfy shoes to rest my feet.

Another reason why I’m into comfort shoes is that I’m diabetic. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 4 years ago. My diabetes is under control with oral medication, diet and exercise (dancing); however, I need to pay attention to the condition of my feet since people with diabetes, especially those who have problems keeping their blood sugar low, are prone to develop foot problems that are difficult to treat. Those foot problems can lead to amputation. So, I examine my feet every day as is describe in this article at Mayo Clinic website. Some diabetic patients see podiatrists and wear special shoes. I have been lucky so far because I don’t have any problems at this time and can keep dancing.

Some comfy shoes are designed well enough to be suitable for offices. So, most of the time I wear Dansko to work. When I first tried Dansko Professional, I was amazed how comfortable they felt. I’d worn Birkenstocks and its copycats for years but I just fell in love with Dansko. See, I’ve lived more than 10 years in Oregon where Birkenstocks are (almost) the norm but there are other good brands. I’d like to introduce you to other brand-name comfortable shoes that don’t break your wallet.
